Satiate your travel bug by traveling to the enchanting hill-station, Dalhousie. Named after the then Governor General of India, it is one of the gorgeous jewels of Himachal Pradesh. Beautiful Scottish and Victorian architectural bungalows and churches adorn this small hill station.

The sprawling meadow having a beautiful lake with a backdrop of thick cedar forest of Khajjiar will give you inexplicable Switzerland feel. The view is so surreal that you can't resist but gaze at it forever. At a stone's throw distance from the lake, lies the 12th-century temple of Khajji Nag which people often visit. Spend quality time with nature and lose yourself in its wondrous scenery.
While going from Chamba to Dalhousie, you will come across this gorgeous lake Chamera, which has rapidly emerged as a popular getaway. It is a splendor of nature which allows you to soak in its riveting beauty. Along with that, it also offers umpteen recreational activities like boating, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and fishing. If you are longing for peace, then spend an evening here and watch the sun setting down behind the hills leaving vivid crimson hues in the sky.
Perched at an altitude of 2,755 m, Dainkund is the highest mountain of all the hills around Dalhousie. It is singularly placed at a sky-touching location that offers a 360-degree view of the valley. The atmosphere is so tranquil that you can clearly feel the sound of flowing wind passing through the fluttering tree leaves. There is Pholani Devi temple which is frequented by the visitors.
The sojourn in mountains is incomplete if you haven't indulged in some refreshing adventurous activities. Kalatop Khajjiar fills the void by offering remarkable trekking routes and excursion to explore swathes of wilderness. It is mainly famous for Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see Himalayan wildlife like Himalayan Black bear, leopard, monal, pheasant, ghoral deer and more.
It is a paradigm of British architecture and interestingly the oldest church in town. Not only that, the age-old church is known for holding religious significance as well. The constructed was done by the Protestant Missionaries in a captivating location circled by forests. Emanating the charm of British-era, it will remind you of the rich past.
April- June in summers and October to March in winters is the best time to visit.
By Air- The nearest airport to Dalhousie is Gaggal Airport (Kangra), a domestic airport that lies 110 km away.
By Rail- Pathankot, 87 km away, is the nearest railhead to Dalhousie.
By Road- Dalhousie is well connected by road.

Just come back from an amazing 2 week trip to India. First we done the golden triangle which we chose to do the train trip from Delhi to Agra a must you have to do if not just for the experience. All the cities were wonderful. In mumbia we done a city tour and ended our trip in the taj for afternoon tea another must. They really looked after us thank you all.
